HARI KE 10 [ 17th April ]

today, in the morning~ memang busy..almost every morning like this....

after staff lelain and COD keluar wat kerja masing-masing...~ kenapa saya tak keluar sama? saya kan under SAF MDF.. ~ hmmm........

I 'bolot" sume kerja Mr Franciss for jumpering 3 new telephony installations and three streamyx installations [ di MDF..bukan di rumah pelanggan ]..hoho.. bunyi 6 je mcm senang.. tapi leceh gak tu...

why I really "rajin" to do all this.. this is to make myself more familiar with MDF.

hoho. ade satu return dalam system.. sebab... mase Mr Franciss cuti.. i did almost all jumpering at MDF.. today ade return mengatakan satu order ni e-side salah..

klaka.. rupenya ade yg tak update.. I have followed the sheet correctly.sama LEN and e-side dalam sheet tu... tapi the real thing is salah e-side.... ni sure ade org tak update ni..cis..

pengalaman mengajar ku.. : after this... I MUST check them while do the jumpering...

kunci kejayaan praktikal di TM.. kena banyak bertanya and volunteerkan diri untuk buat...katapun belajar kan? huhuhu.. thats all for this week..

Actually this formal Roll Call must be do it every morning before we start to work. however, at TM BG , we did not have much time to do it every morning.. so.. usually they will do this 1 or 2 formal Roll Call per week.

after this I will move to the next unit.

This morning.. my supervisor told me.. nextweek.. I can follow Mr Ibrahim ... he is incharge for DATA unit in this area...

MAIN DISTRIBUTION FRAME (Junjungan Agihan Utama )

Definition of MDF.

In Telephony, a Main Distribution Frame (MDF or Main Frame) is a signal distribution frame for connecting equipment (inside plant) to cables and subscriber cariers equipment (outside plant). The MDF is a termination point within the local Telephone Exchange where exchange equipment and terminations of local lops are connected by jumper wires at the MDF. All cable copper pairs supplying services through user telephone lines are terminated at the MDF and distributed through the MDF to equipment within the local Exchange e.g. repeaters and DSLAM. Cables to intermediate distribution frame terminate at the MDF. Trunk cables may terminate on the same MDF or on a separate Trunk Main Distribution Frame (TMDF).[1]

8th day

awal-awal pagi lagi dah banyak kerja. Mr Franciss cuti~

so.. I tried to do all the new installations for new telephony and streamyx at the MDF. hohoho.. helped by Pn Paridah..

(serius byk keja.. masuk2 je..try buat sume..bile dah siap..tgk jam, already 1310.. hoho.. lunch time~)

after lunch..ask Pn paridah about the other 2 new installations. She has done it already. ades~ tq~ tq~

then...

just standby and help others to trace e-side at MDF.

Tuesday 14th [7th day]

I have followed YM Raja Amirul to Chenderong's Exchange to do an adsl jumpering at MDF.

after that... I went to ML Ipoh ( Malaysian Logistics Ipoh ) . This is the main store for TM Perak.

We have transferred about 1000 of old telephone sets to be "lupus". hahaha.. forgot laa meaning of "lupus" in English.

also.. took 100 of new telephone sets.

after that ,went back to TM BG.

as usually..helped Mr Franciss for jumper the telephony new installation.

also do a tracing for the updated e-side at the MDF.

as example : the contractor worker call us and .. he will tell us the e-side number given 100 is not available at the cabinet 26 and LEN number is 4/11/082. so.. please trace the real updated e-side at the MDF. we trace the e-side number referred by the LEN number given. so..after that they will do the jumpering at the cabinet followed by the updated e-side.

1st day of 2nd week [6th day]

my second week...

still in the SAF unit.. under MDF... biaselah... mengadap MDF setiap hari..

today i have learnt how to update the DP and e-side in the system dat have been done by (staff or contractor)s at the cabinet or DP. DP = distribution point. selalunya DP ni connection before drop wire ke rumah u all.. untuk pemasangan telefon..huhuh...~

mesti buat ni.. sebab .. kadang2 di kabinet or DP.. dah ada kekosongan.. contractor pulak tak call kita b4 pemasangan lalu trus pasang.. so..dalam system masih no pemasangan lama.. they suppose to call us 1st before they can install it.

thats why..we must check it back.. if the installation place in the system is available.. it is ok.
if not.. we must suggest the new place for the old number in the system to be placed. maksud saya.. DP pair or e-side yg lain..

after that.. note all the updates.. then call TM Taiping...

sebab Taiping sahaja yg boleh update system for Perak. mereka akan bagi reference number for us to record.

p/s : kiranya kita tolong check je la.. pastu real updates sume bg Taiping.. ades~

p/s : blaja mende ni sebab takde keje.. yela.. jumper MDF bukan nya tiap2 saat.. ade new installation baru buat...

p/s : sebenarnya gua tak reti sgt nak terangkan kat korang..lol~
